Pulse clients Bonnie McKee and Tim Pagnotta took home awards at the 61st Annual BMI Pop Awards. Mckee was recognized for her songwriting work on Katy Perry’s “Part of Me,” and “Wide Awake,” as well as Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me,” which have sold a combined 9 million units worldwide. Pagnotta was recognized for his work with Neon Trees on their single “Everybody Talks” which has sold 2.5 million copies in the US alone. The list was released today and features the likes of Ryan Tedder, Timbaland, will.i.am, Pharrell, Red One, and other award-winning songwriters. Selection criteria for the “Top Hitmakers” list included: single and album sales, chart position achievement, award nominations, and tenure in the music business. In less than 3 years, Bonnie McKee has co-written eight #1 singles, that have sold more than 25 million copies worldwide

Award-winning songwriter Bonnie McKee is hard at work on her new solo album for Epic Records. She's had a camera crew following her throughout the process of making this album, documenting everything that goes on in her everyday life. She has teamed up with Idolator to create a new weekly web series called "Pop Star In Training," which will launch next month. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at what Bonnie's life is like, and the process of coming out from behind-the-scenes as a songwriter, into a full fledged pop star!

Released today, Warrior is the new album from Ke$ha. It's the follow up to her multi-platinum, #1 debut album Animal, which featured "Tik Tok" the 6th highest-selling song in digital history, with more than 13 million copies sold. Bonnie McKee has two co-writes on the Warrior album: "Supernatural," and the new single "C'mon." Sharing a common bond as successful songwriters and performing artists, Ke$ha and Bonnie McKee have been close friends for years, so the opportunity to collaborate on Warrior was a pinnacle experience for both. McKee continues work on her forthcoming solo album on Epic Records, which will be released in 2013.

Christina Aguilera has released her seventh studio album titled Lotus which features a track co-written by Pulse's Bonnie McKee and Oligee titled "Let There Be Love." Hailed by critics as a vast improvement to her previous release Bionic, the new album is described as Aguilera "sounding more fun and energized than she has in years." Lotus is set to make a Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart, and the video for the album's first single "Your Body" has been viewed more than 25 million times already.

Bonnie McKee celebrates another #1, this time with UK singer/songwriter Rita Ora. The single "How We Do (Party)" is currently the #1 song on iTunes UK, and sits on BBC Radio 1's A-List. The song is becoming a worldwide hit, having already been certified Platinum in Australia, and Gold in New Zealand. Rita Ora's debut album Ora will be released in the UK on August 27th, and is set for a US release in September
