Drew Pearson – “Home” 3X Platinum

The incredible run for Drew Pearson’s co-write and production “Home” with Phillip Phillips continues with news today that it has sold 3 million copies! This marks the first time in “American Idol” history that a male contestant has had a single go triple-platinum, a feat that big names like Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken, and Daughtry have not yet achieved. “Home” has reached the #1 spot on six different Billboard charts, as well as iTunes. The song appears on Phillip Phillips’ debut album The World From the Side of the Moon, which features a total of 4 songs by Pulse writer/producers.

Pulse Clients / Phillip Phillips – New Album

“American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips released his debut album The World from the Side of the Moon today, which features 3 songs co-written by Pulse clients. Drew Pearson co-wrote and produced “Home,” a single that has sold more than 2 million copies in the US alone. He also co-wrote track #10 on the album titled “Can’t Go Wrong.” David Ryan Harris co-wrote the song “Tell Me a Story,” and Wrabel co-wrote the album’s closing number “So Easy.” Phillip Phillips has enjoyed multi-format radio success since his American Idol victory, and has established a social network topping 1 million fans.

Phillip Phillips & Drew Pearson: 2X Platinum

Congratulations to Pulse client Drew Pearson who co-wrote and produced Phillip Phillips’ hit single “Home,” which has gone double-platinum! Following its initial success as the coronation song for Phillips’ on “American Idol,” “Home” was the theme song for the US Women’s Gymnastics team at the 2012 Olympic Games, and has been used in a number of film & television campaigns. The music video for “Home” has been viewed 4.5 million times on YouTube, and the song will of course be included on Phillips’ debut album titled The World From The Side Of The Moon due for release on November 19th

Phillip Phillips / Drew Pearson – “Home”

Congratulations to Pulse client Drew Pearson who co-wrote and produced Phillip Phillips’ “Home” which achieved Platinum sales status today. It originated as the coronation song for Phillips when he won Season 11 of “American Idol,” where it had the biggest debut sales week ever in the show’s history. Just a few weeks later, “Home” was named the theme song for the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The widespread campaign helped propel “Home” back to the #1 spot on iTunes, a top 10 re-entry on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and now more than 1 million units sold.

“Home” makes “American Idol” History

“Home,” the coronation single by “American Idol” champion Phillip Phillips was co-written and produced by Pulse’s Drew Pearson. “Home” has made “American Idol” history this week by achieving the biggest sales week for any “American Idol” winner’s coronation single, surpassing David Cook’s “The Time of my Life” from 2008. The song also had the second-best digital sales week ever for any “Idol” contestant, trailing only Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” from 2009. On top of this, “Home” is the first coronation single since 2008 to reach the Billboard Hot 100′s top 10 in it’s first week, with its debut today at No. 10

Drew Pearson / Phillip Phillips – #1

“American Idol – Season 11″ winner Phillip Phillips performed an encore of “Home” following last night’s victory. The song, co-written and produced by Pulse’s Drew Pearson, has become the #1 song on iTunes! More than 132 million votes were cast for the “American Idol – Season 11″ finale, and those voters are now going out and buying “Home!”
