Co-written and co-produced by Peter Thomas, “Gold” is the latest single from Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice. The track was mixed by Matt Rad with vocal production by Anne Preven. After creating buzz with her acoustic version of Fun.’s “Some Nights,” Justice has established herself in the Pop music world, and “Gold” carries her along further on that journey. Empire of the Sun released their highly-anticipated album Ice On The Dune today, the band’s first release in nearly 5 years. The album was co-written & co-produced by Pulse client Donnie Sloan, who also collaborated with Empire of the Sun on their debut release, Walking on a Dream. Rolling Stone describes the new album as something “laced with artful, grandiose sonic touches, blending sampled voices with gang shouts and propulsive synths.” The album is expected to debut in the Billboard Top 10 next week

Australian duo The Swiss have released their newest EP titled Elouisa on Kitsune Records. Both songs on the EP were co-written and produced by Pulse client Donnie Sloan, who also has co-writes and productions on the forthcoming Empire of the Sun album. In it’s review of the Elouisa EP, Altsounds.com said “The Swiss are what disco should be. Insistent drums, tractor beam bass and melodies that got here on a rainbow — all in sync with the biorhythms of ecstasy and heartbreak.”

Biffy Clyro’s latest album Opposites was mixed by Ryan Williams and took home the “Best Album” award at the 2013 Kerrang! Awards. Opposites was Biffy Clyro’s first #1 album and has received praise from fans and press around the world. The band will be performing at just about every major rock festival in Europe this Summer

What Britney Spears describes as “Smurftastic,” and what Perez Hilton calls “pop sugary goodness,” the new single “Ooh La La” was released today. Co-written by Bonnie McKee along with a team of usual suspects (Dr. Luke, Ammo, and Cirkut) the song will play over the end credits on the motion picture “Smurfs 2,” starring Katy Perry and Neil Patrick Harris hitting theatres on July 31st. “Ooh La La” is also set to appear on the movie’s soundtrack, with a release date to be announced soon. This is the second collaboration between McKee and Spears, following the global success of Spears’ latest album Femme Fatale
