Brockhampton’s ‘Iridescence’ debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200
Brockhampton’s fourth studio album Iridescence debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, marking the group’s first #1 in their short 3 year history. PULSE clients Kevin Abstract and Romil Hemnani are part of the core group of collaborators on the album’s 15-song tracklisting, which was recorded mainly at Abbey Road Studios in London. It is Brockhampton’s major label debut on RCA Records and has received widespread critical acclaim including NME’s review calling Iridescence the group’s “most adventurous work to date” and Billboard calling it “a victory for the LGBTQ community” citing Abstract (who is openly gay) as being a trailblazer for “modern queerness on a hip-hop record.”
