Biography
Sombear (Brad Hale) is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter based out of Minneapolis, MN. One half of the band Now, Now, he is the main collaborator alongside lead singer KC Dalager, who have collectively worked the project 100% themselves. Their 2018 record ‘Saved’ received “Best of the Year” nods via Billboard, GQ, NPR , Fader, Idolator, placements across the film, tv and video game world, and had them touring across the country as direct support for Maggie Rogers. They’ve done official remixes for Muna, Joywave and more along with new music coming in 2023. Outside of Now, Now, Brad is an avid producer and writer under the moniker Sombear. Specializing in inventive melodies and dreamy productions across the alternative, indie and left of center pop worlds alike with a true knack for developing young talent. Brad has had records with Grimes, The Naked & Famous, Chelsea Jade, Luna Shadows and most recently produced “climbing trees” by Claud, co-wrote and co-produced “Raw Raw” by K. Flay and produced “Heaven Here” by Donna Missal. Brad also played a key role on KennyHoopla’s major label debut EP ‘how will i rest in peace if i’m buried by a highway?//’ (Arista), as well as Ber’s most recent EP ‘Halfway’.
