Sam Sparro
Biography
SAM SPARRO is a Grammy-nominated Australian-born artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist who originally shot to fame in the United Kingdom with the release of his debut single “Black and Gold.” His style of music derives from contemporary R&B, particularly his gospel-trained vocals, and often harkens back to the ‘80s but with updated electronic dance production and groove. Drawing creative comparisons to Prince, the Gap Band, Hot Chip and Basement Jaxx, Sam is an OG to bridging Pop, Dance, House and R&B. His recently released album Boombox Eternal – a dance R&B ode to love, freedom, identity, community and self-fulfillment – was described by PAPER Magazine as incorporating “newer dance and experimental electronic textures to complement his rich, full-bodied vocals.”
