JOSHUA SPEERS
Biography
Josh Speers was born into a family of teachers and ministers in Delaware. He toured heavily up and down the East coast in bar bands and settled in western Massachusetts for a time while working as a studio potter. Heavily influenced by Paul Westerberg and Tom Petty as well as writers Thomas McGuane and Jim Harrison, his songs explore the big and small corners of American life. Full of driving guitars and steady drums, his resulting three EPs were crafted alongside Tommy English, Dan Wilson, and Lars Stalfors. Speers also wrote “Take A Chance On Us” for Amazon’s hit show Daisy Jones & The Six and co-wrote TALK’s single“Afraid Of The Dark” released via Capitol Records.
