KOJEY RADICAL
Biography
Kojey Radical is an artist and songwriter of Ghanian Descent who was born and raised in East London. Signed to Warner UK/Asylum Records through Ed Howard, Kojey’s most recent album “Reason To Smile” was nominated for the 2022 Mercury Prize and earned him a nomination for Best New Artist at this year’s Brit Awards and Best Contemporary Song with “Payback” at the 2023 Ivor-Novello Awards. Outside of his own artist project, he notably co-wrote Mahalia and Burna Boy’s “Simmer”. Other recent collaborators include artists such as Amaarae, Cruel Santino, Masego, Mick Jenkins and Mereba. Kojey has also found great success in the sync world, having his music placed in video games FIFA 19 and FIFA 20 in addition to HBO’s “I May Destroy You”, Netflix’s “Top Boy”.
