YOUR SMITH / CAROLINE SMITH is a Minneapolis native who was discovered after collaborating with R&B soulstress Lizzo on indie R&B hit ‘Let Em Say’, then moved to LA in 2016. Inspired by the history of Laurel Canyon and moving through the city that’s been immortalized in music throughout the ages, Smith has concocted her own sound, bringing together the funk / R&B “Minneapolis Sound” of her roots and the classic songwriting of the Los Angeles folk heroes. Smith released her first EP, Bad Habit, off of Neon Gold Records in 2018, produced by close collaborators Tommy English (BORNS, Broods) and Nicky Davey (Beyonce, Syd Tha Kid). Caroline’s latest project Wild Wild Woman, was written with Tommy English, Nick Long (King Princess), and Joe Janiak (Ellie Goulding, Tove Lo), and took her on the road for a robust sold-out national headline tour. In the past year, Caroline has also toured with artists like Rhye, K Flay, Violent Femmes, Matt Maeson, and X Ambassadors, among many others.
