Jez Dior told Nylon Guys “I named this EP The Funeral because it is the death of what I was perceived as before.” It follows his 2013 release The Scarlett Sage Mixtape which brought to light the “grunge rap” sound that he now sits on the frontline to establish. Jez has given fans a few pieces of The Funeral over the past several months, posting music and video for songs like “Old No. 7,” “Clean Me Up,” and “Leather,” all which spent time on the Hype Machine chart
